The Romanian National Agency for the Management of Seized Assets (ANABI) officially joined the European Partners against Corruption (EPAC) network during the 23rd EPAC/EACN Annual Conference and General Assembly, held in Bucharest on November 26-27, 2024. The event was attended by 170 participants representing nearly 100 institutions from over 30 countries. Presentations were given by representatives of the United Nations, European Union, European Public Prosecutor's Office, Europol, the U.S. Department of Justice, and anti-corruption bodies from other countries.

At the 23rd EPAC/EACN Annual Conference in Bucharest, the Chair of the Committee of Experts on Criminal Asset Recovery (PC-RAC) and Director General of the National Agency for the Management of Seized Assets (ANABI), delivered a presentation titled „Towards a new binding instrument in the Council of Europe on international co-operation as regards the management, recovery and sharing of assets proceeding from crime”.

Today, the 6th of August, 2024, the General Director of the National Agency for the Management of Seized Assets (ANABI) and the Deputy Head for European Integration of the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing, and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking an important step in strengthening the interagency cooperation in the field of asset recovery.
